Infection Prevention and Dental Services: Partnerships in Pediatrics
This presentation will review how the strong relationship between Infection Prevention and Dental services was created and how important it was to build the foundation before problems arose. It will then transition to reviewing an issue with dental water quality results in multiple dental practices across the hospital system. Data will be reviewed, showing the results when the acute issue was identified and results following remediation steps. The water quality plan will be reviewed, which was developed with a multidisciplinary team, which includes disinfecting practices, standardization of equipment across the system, and testing cadence.
