Primary Care for Patients with Medicaid, Medicare, or Who are Uninsured

Based on feedback from community members, Rappahannock Area Health District saw a need for a listing of local providers accepting new patients with Medicaid or patients who are uninsured.  This list was compiled based off of contacts with local providers in May of 2024.  If you identify a change that needs to be made to this list, please call the RAHD Call Center at 540-899-4797, option 0.

The primary care providers listed below accept private insurance, Medicaid/Medicare and patients without insurance.

Eligibility requirements vary by clinic.  Please see the details and qualifications in the tables.  You may also contact the Rappahannock Area Health District Call Center at 540-899-4797, Option 0 for assistance finding the best options for you and your family.

What Else Should I Know?  

  • Please verify that your insurance is accepted or that you meet financial restrictions to qualify for coverage ahead of time.  Please bring your card with you to your appointment.  
  • Bring all medications and vaccine records with you to your appointment.  
  • Minors must bring a parent or legal guardian.
