Preventive Health Services

Every Woman’s Life (EWL) is a public health program that helps uninsured, low-income women in the Prince William Health District and throughout Virginia gain access to free breast and cervical cancer screening services. Screening and early detection reduces death rates, improves treatment options, and greatly increases survival. 

You may be eligible for this program if you meet these qualifications:

  • If you are a woman between 40-64 years old (screenings)
  • You are symptomatic and are a woman between 18-39 years old
  • You live primarily in the Prince William Health District (i.e. Prince William County, Manassas City, or Manassas Park)
    • Find the nearest screening program near you.
  • Your income is at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level
  • You have absolutely no insurance (zero insurance)

June 13, 2022, Announcement: The Prince William Health District Will No Longer Be Providing Family Planning Services in Our Clinics

Communities, to include the Prince William Health District (PWHD), that had other Title X grantees and/or other community providers providing this service, may not receive future Title X funds, therefore will no longer have access to low-cost family planning methods (340B meds).

The PWHD will discontinue providing direct service but will play an assurance role by referring clients to other providers that provide this service. Those who already have appointments for services at he the PWHD will be honored, but others will be referred to other providers.
