Sexual Health Services include prevention education. They also include testing and treatment for STIs. They also include counseling for STIs. This includes HIV and PrEP. Free female and male condoms are available.

Family Planning
Three Rivers' nursing team provides education and counseling about reproductive health including clinical assessment and birth control services to male and female clients using a client-centered approach. Services are available for insured and uninsured
patients on sliding scale income basis. Preexposure Prophylaxis services are offered to those clients at high risk for HIV. To access family planning services, please contact your local health department.

Any person who suspects they may have been exposed to a sexually transmitted disease (Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, and Human Immunodeficiency Virus.) may be seen in this clinic. We also provide PrEP services. Services are provided on a sliding scale according to ability to pay; some services will be free. All services are confidential. Appointment required.

Sexual Wellness Clinic (walk in – first come, first served)
Confidential examination, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections are available. Please bring insurance information (if applicable) during time of registration. Fees may apply based on insurance and income eligibility, but those who are unable to pay will not be turned away.

Virginia Beach Health District
HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI)
We provide confidential testing, counseling and education for HIV. Nurses and Health Counselors are available for this service. The Health Counselor provides confidential counseling and partner notification services for clients who are found to be HIV positive. Counseling and notification services for physicians and their clients are also available. Confidential testing, diagnosis and treatment are available for most common sexually transmitted infections. Clinics are open to all sexually active people and are by appointment only. Nurses and Health Counselors are available to provide education and counseling services related to STI’s and to assist patients to contact partners that need testing and/or treatment
**Effective 7/1/17, There will be a charge for STD clinic services. VDH will require your health insurance information and/or proof of household income for STD clinic services. If you do not have health insurance or proof of household income, please speak with our front office staff for assistance. Those who are unable to pay will NOT be turned away. The Virginia Beach Department of Public Health is committed to continuing uninterrupted services to our clients.
