Norfolk Department of Public Health Clinics

Welcome to our clinics. Everyone is welcome.

We give full and private healthcare to anyone in Norfolk. Our clinics have trained medical professionals. They offer confidential care. They specialize in many areas. With a scheduled appointment, you can get the care you deserve. We provide services for Family Planning. We also help with sex health. We test for sexually transmitted diseases (STI). We also offer STI prevention. We help with adult and child shots for school. We also offer child health appointments.

Location & Hours

COVID and Flu Vaccination Clinic (October 2024 – February 27, 2025)

No appointment is necessary. Attendees are encouraged to bring their ID and insurance card. For those who are uninsured, a fee of $20.33 may be charged to cover the Administration cost. All ages are welcome!

Thursday’s 8:30 AM -12:00 PM (excluding the 3rd Thursday of the month)

Sexual Health

Sexual Health Services include prevention education. They also include testing and treatment for STIs. They also include counseling for STIs. This includes HIV and PrEP. They also include well-woman exams, and PAP testing. Free female and male condoms are available.

No appointment necessary/must have no symptoms. All are welcome and the tests are free!

Test and go (Walk- in STI testing clinic)
Our clinic is open every Tuesday from 1:00 PM – 6:30 PM and every Thursday from 8:30 AM – 12 PM (closed the third Thursday of the month)

PrEP (Pre Exposure Prophylaxis)

PrEP provides counseling. It is for preventing HIV. It offers testing for HIV and other STIs. Services include applying for the PrEP program. They cover medicines, counseling, and ongoing monitoring. It is for HIV and STI risks. We offer case management to all enrolled clients.

Family Planning Services

Family Planning Services includes education. The focus is on the client. It also includes counseling. It also includes urine pregnancy tests. We offer many contraceptive methods. These include long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs). They include options like Nexplanon and IUDs.

Pediatric/Adolescent Health

Pediatric/Adolescent Health Services include school physicals. They also include routine check-ups. These are for healthy kids. They also include immunizations. Please bring all immunization records with you. Present them at registration.

Child Health Clinic:
8:30 AM – 3:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, and Friday

Childhood Immunizations

NDPH provides important immunizations to children. This includes school-entry immunizations. Our team will help make sure your family has the shots they need. We cover everything from polio to HPV. You must bring the latest shot records to the appointment.

8:30 AM – 4:00 PM Monday, Tuesday, every 2nd and 4th Wednesday, and Friday.

Remember that you must get some vaccines. This is true for both public and private schools. Ensure your child is up-to-date and can start school on time!

Adult Immunization Clinic

We give routine shots. They are for infants, children, teens, and adults. This includes travel immunizations.

You must have a complete shot record to get immunizations. Keep them unchanged. *Names on the shot record must be the same as those on the birth certificates. Some people may need a blood draw before getting vaccinated.

We provide tuberculosis (TB) screenings. We place Purified Protein Derivative (PPD). Please bring all immunization records with you. Present them at registration. For more information, call 757-683-2735 and 757-683-2889.
