Crater Health District and Community Partners to Host Petersburg Health and Wellness Fair
PETERSBURG, Va. – The Crater Health District (CHD) and community partners will be hosting the Petersburg Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, October 22 from 11 AM to 4 PM at the Petersburg Public Library, 201 W Washington Street, Petersburg, VA 23803. Activities include free flu vaccinations on a first-come, first-served basis, health screenings, health education and demonstrations, instructor-led dancing and physical activity, entertainment, food, giveaways, and more.
“We are very excited to be hosting this event for the community of Petersburg, “said Crater District Health District Director Alton Hart, Jr., MD, MPH. “The past couple of years have been very challenging for everyone in our district. We are excited to be able provide this outreach opportunity with many of our wonderful community partners and bring the Petersburg community together to celebrate health.”
“We want to help promote community resilience by seeking input on community needs and priorities and connecting community members to care, support, education and resources,” said Julie Thacker, Population Health Manager, Crater Health District.
CHD appreciates all of our community partners sharing resources and services to the community. Special thanks to the Petersburg Public Library and Aetna Better Health for your support and generous contribution.
In case of inclement weather, the Health and Wellness Fair will be located inside the Petersburg Public Library, 201 W Washington St, Petersburg, VA 23803.
