Hampton & Peninsula Health Districts to Hold Weekly COVID-19 Rapid Testing Clinics
(NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) – Beginning Friday, March 4, the Hampton & Peninsula Health Districts will be holding FREE weekly COVID-19 testing clinics. The clinics will be on Fridays only, at both the Peninsula Health District (416 J Clyde Morris Blvd, Newport News, VA 23601) and the Hampton Health District (3130 Victoria Blvd, Hampton, VA 23661). The clinics will take place every Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The clinics are by appointment only. Walk-ins will be accepted only if there is an existing slot available. Walk-ins should know they may be turned away or experience an extended wait time if arriving without an appointment.
The COVID-19 testing clinics are being provided in response to increased testing demand and a limited number of testing options in the community. Testing is available from age 5 and up; while supplies last. Please call 757-594-8482 to schedule your testing appointment.
While testing remains an important tool in mitigating the spread of COVID-19, Hampton & Peninsula Health Districts reminds its residents that vaccination is the best way to prevent serious illness or death from COVID-19.
