Central Virginia Health District Announces Upcoming COVID-19 Mobile Vaccination and Testing Events

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Central Virginia Health District is partnering with Lynchburg City Schools to offer a mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic at E.C. Glass High School, 2111 Memorial Ave, Lynchburg, February 11 from 1 – 5 p.m.

The clinic is open to the public and will offer first, second, additional primary and booster doses of all three vaccines at no cost to the public. Walk-ins are welcome, but to make an appointment visit CVHD.org.

The Moderna vaccine and the single-dose Johnson & Johnson are available for anyone 18 and older. The Pfizer vaccine is available for anyone 5 and older. A parent or guardian must accompany anyone under 18.

If you are coming for your second, third or booster dose, please bring your vaccine card to confirm the date and type of vaccine you received in previous doses. To get a copy of your vaccine record with QR code, visit the Vaccination Record Request Portal.

The Central Virginia Health District will also host the following COVID-19 testing events this month.

  • Thursday, February 10 from 1 – 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 16 from noon – 3 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 23 from noon – 3 p.m.

The events will be held at the Lynchburg Health Department, 307 Alleghany Ave. and you will not have to leave your vehicle. Rapid PCR tests will be used with results in 20-25 minutes. Tests are free.
