These resources may be useful in supporting yourself or loved ones through the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Prior to deployments, we encourage our volunteers to complete the Disaster Behavioral Health Training listed below:

  • Disaster Behavioral Health CDC TRAIN Course ID# 1045459- It defines disaster behavioral health as it relates to public health preparedness. Topics addressed include:  signs and symptoms of stress, self-care, and planning for behavioral health in disaster preparedness.

Below are websites and resources for obtaining mental health resources:

  • Virginia Frontline Wellness  Resources for healthcare providers and volunteers supporting Virginia’s Frontline healthcare workers.
  • The Disaster Distress Helpline or 1-800-985-5990 or text TalkWithUs to 66746  A national hotline dedicated to providing immediate crisis counseling for people who are experiencing emotional distress related to any natural or human-caused disaster.
