Federal surface transportation funding expires on September30, 2021. What happens next? The Senate and House have each passed versions ofsurface transportation reauthorization, but as of mid-September, there is notyet a bill headed to President Biden’s desk. We are optimistic that Congresswill pass surface transportation reauthorization, but there are other potentialoutcomes, including a short-term extension or a lapse in funding. Join us onOctober 14, 2021 to learn what happened and what it means for federal fundingfor Safe Routes to School, walking, and bicycling. If surface transportationspending is reauthorized, you can expect to hear what changes will take effectand how to take advantage of new funding opportunities. Content will vary basedupon the outcome; we will send an updated email with more information once weknow what happens!
