HIV Dashboards
*All data is analyzed annually, and while some values may adjust over time, the dashboard is updated every year to add the prior year's data.
New HIV Cases by Sex at Birth
- 2020 data should be interpreted with caution. Data may be artificially low due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, which made access to medical services difficult.
*In both graphs, there is a significant drop in new cases in 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, testing and access to medical services decreased, so new HIV testing services and diagnoses also reduced during this time.

Maps by Health District
- Two maps are presented in this tab. The first map shows the rate of new HIV cases (number of cases per 100,000 people) based on health district. Health districts are groupings of cities and counties. The second map shows the rate at the locality level (individual cities and counties).
- Lower rates are shown in lighter shades and higher rates in darker shades. Rates are per 100,000 people in a defined area and help to compare the burden of HIV across different population sizes.
