Join us for a webinar to discuss a forthcoming report from CommuniVax, a coalition to strengthen the community’s involvement in an equitable vaccination rollout, Carrying Equity in COVID-19 Vaccination Forward: Guidance Informed by Communities of Color.
This webinar will outline a new strategy for the COVID-19 vaccination campaign informed by rapid research conducted with Black and Hispanic/Latino communities across the United States. Public health and government leaders will hear specific guidance on how to adapt COVID-19 vaccination efforts to achieve greater vaccine coverage in underserved populations, and through this, to develop sustainable, locally appropriate mechanisms to advance equity in health.

Greta Massetti, co-lead of CDC’s COVID-19 Community Interventions and Critical Populations (CICP) Task Force, will share information and updates on K-12 school guidance. CICP is responsible for developing guidance and practical tools for community mitigation activities and special populations, particularly those disproportionally affected by COVID-19.

CDC will convene its Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) on July 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (ET). The meeting will address COVID-19 topics. At press time, the agenda has not yet been announced. No registration is required to watch webcasts of live ACIP meetings or listen via telephone. On July 9th, CDC released updated Guidance for COVID-19 Prevention in K-12 Schools as well as their COVID-19 Guidance for Operating Early Care and Education/Child Care Programs.
To support this guidance, the Science Brief has been updated as well to include the evidence behind these recommendations.
