COCA Now: Measles Outbreak Digital Toolkit for Healthcare Providers

Last Updated: May 3, 2019

To support healthcare providers during the current multi-state measles outbreak, CDC has developed a digital toolkit with products for you and your patients about vaccines and measles. These products include accurate, science-based evidence that we hope can help you counter misinformation about measles and MMR vaccine.

You are the most trusted source of information when your patients have questions or concerns about vaccines and the diseases they prevent. You can help them stay healthy by—

  • Reminding your patients to make sure all family members are up to date on MMR vaccine.
  • Taking every opportunity to vaccinate patients who are behind on MMR, especially those who are traveling internationally or living in or near communities experiencing a measles outbreak.

To assist you with this, the digital toolkit for healthcare providers includes—

  • Resources to support an effective vaccine conversation with parents, and
  • Resources about measles and vaccines for you to share with parents and display in your office settings.

Please check the measles toolkits website regularly; CDC will add new resources as they become available.

Please join CDC measles experts discuss the current multi-state outbreak during a COCA Call on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. ET. More information about the call will be available soon on the COCA Calls/Webinar webpage.
