Protect Yourself From Respiratory Viruses

In the fall and winter, it is common to get sick from respiratory viruses like the flu, RSV, and COVID-19. Protect yourself and others by following these simple steps:

Stay up to date with immunizations

 Practice good hygiene

  • Cover coughs and sneezes
  • Wash or sanitize hands often
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces often

 Take steps for cleaner air

  • Bring as much fresh air into your home as possible by opening doors and windows and/or using exhaust fans
  • Use a portable high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) cleaner
  • Move activities outdoors, where airflow is best
  • Keep reading about steps for cleaner air
