WHAT VITAL RECORDS ARE AVAILABLE?

Virginia birth, death, marriage and divorce certificates are available at all health departments within CVHD.

WHO IS ENTITLED TO A VITAL RECORD?

Immediate family members only – parents, current spouse, adult children, siblings and grandparents.  Identification is required for all vital record requests. See the link below for acceptable identification.

IS THERE A COST FOR A VITAL RECORD?

There is a $12.00 fee per certified copy of a vital record or for the search of a record when no certificate can be located or printed.  We accept cash, check or credit card.

HOW CAN I GET A VITAL RECORD ONLINE OR IF I AM OUT OF STATE?
