Tobacco and Nicotine Cessation

WHAT IS OFFERED FOR TOBACCO AND NICOTINE CESSATION?

Our trained facilitators have programs to fit a variety of needs. We offer programs designed for individuals who wish to quit smoking, worksites that desire to offer smoking cessation for their employees and schools or community centers seeking nicotine interventions for youth. Our programs include:

  • Freedom from Smoking group sessions-This program, sponsored by the American Lung Association, is provided in a group setting. It focusses on the physical, mental and social aspects of tobacco addiction to establish a plan to quit. Requests can be made to schedule a clinic at times and locations convenient for participants. We will come to your worksite or meeting space to provide this program.
  • INDEPTH-This program offers nicotine intervention and education for youth. This includes all forms of nicotine, including vaping. Schools and community centers are encouraged to make this program mandatory as an alternative to detention or other means of punishments for policy violations. This program is sponsored by the American Lung Association.
  • Quit Now VA-This state program provides free information and coaching by telephone or online to residents who want to quit smoking or using tobacco. The counseling is offered by trained Quit Coaches; in combination with nicotine replacement therapy or medication prescribed by healthcare providers. 1.800.QUIT.NOW (1.800.784.8669)
