The mission of the OEHS (Office of Environmental Health Services) is to protect public health by preventing the transmission of disease through food, milk, shellfish, water and sewage and to work in partnership with other agencies to protect the environment.
The Health Department inspects and issues permits for construction and operation of Migrant Labor Camps, Hotels/Motels, Bed and Breakfasts, Public Swimming Pools, Marinas and other facilities.
