Most Americans will continue to pay nothing out-of-pocket for their vaccination. For people with health insurance (such as private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid), most plans will cover the COVID-19 vaccine at no cost to you. Bring your insurance card to your appointment. Individuals without health insurance or with health plans that do not cover the cost can get a free vaccine from their local health department or participating pharmacies with government assistance. You will not be asked for proof of family size or yearly income.
