Please keep the following in mind when reviewing these data:
- Data will be updated every Friday through the end of mosquito season, which ends October 31st.
- Data include only those investigations for which notifications have been submitted and approved by VDH Central Office staff as meeting CDC/CSTE case definition criteria of Probable or Confirmed.
- A surveillance case definition is a set of uniform criteria used to define a disease for public health surveillance. Surveillance case definitions enable public health officials to classify and count cases consistently across reporting jurisdictions.
- Cases are reported by local health district. Click here to view which health district you are located in.
